About Life is Elsewhere

“Life is Elsewhere” are Nick Losseff, Consultant at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (Songwriting, Vocals, Keys, Arrangements), Liam Dunachie (Producer, Arranger, Piano, Keyboards), Jules Jackson (Basses), Tommy Emmerton (Guitars), Paul Gregory (Drums), John Prestage (Recording and Mixing Engineer) and Luke Farnell (Assistant Mixing Engineer). The project was recorded at Livingston Studios and mastered at AIR Lyndhurst by Cicely Balston. Additional overdubs by Hayley Sanderson (vocals), George Hogg (Trumpet and Flugelhorn), Christopher Maddock (Saxophones) and Tom Dunnett (Trombone).

Many thanks to Carolyn Gabriel who wrote the lyrics to “Soar” and contributed to many others, Izzy Losseff (The Voice of Marjorie in Man from Africa) and Oscar Losseff (for bouncing ideas about style and help with the mastering). “Melancholy Baby” and “How Do You Do Me” are musically re-realised from the 1912 and 1924 lyrics.

It was a lot of fun, and is released in aid of The National Brain Appeal.
